Applications
Drones
Our fuel cells have compact size, high power density, and wide range of usable fuels. This translates into longer uninterrupted flight times, lower upkeep costs, and ease of adoption. We will help your drones achieve industry leading uptime at lowest cost.
IoT
Small form-factor, portability and scalability make our fuel cells the best power source for small electronic devices. We help IoT network expand regardless of the location with minimal set-up and maintenance costs.
Space
Our fuel cells are extremely durable even in the harshest conditions and most critical situations. Higher power density of our fuel cells means lower payload volume, and high efficiency increases useful energy output. With our fuel cells it is possible to go where no man has ever gone before.
Off-Grid, Portable, and more
No grid connection? No problem! Our fuel cells can power a variety of devices and equipment in remote locations and harsh conditions. We can increase uptime and reduce upkeep costs in a variety of portable and off-grid situations.
About fuel cell technology
Fuel cell is a type of electrical generator that uses a chemical reaction to produce electricity without combustion. Fuel cell technology has a number of advantages over traditional fossil fuel-based power generation, including high efficiency, low emissions, and the ability to use a wide range of fuels.
Solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is a type of fuel cell that uses a solid oxide electrolyte to convert chemical energy from a fuel into electricity. They have a number of advantages over other types of fuel cells, including high efficiency, long lifespan, and the ability to use a wide range of fuels including fossil, renewable and synthetic fuels.
Fossil fuels, such as natural gas and propane can be directly used as a fuel in SOFCs. The use of fossil fuels in SOFCs can lead to reduced greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional fossil fuel-based power generation, due to the high efficiency of SOFCs. Renewable fuels, such as hydrogen and biofuels, can also be used in SOFCs. Hydrogen can be produced from a variety of sources, including natural gas, biomass, and water, and it is a clean-burning fuel that does not produce greenhouse gas emissions when used in a fuel cell. Biofuels, such as methane and ethanol, can also be used in SOFCs and have the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions compared to fossil fuels.
Microtubular solid oxide fuel cell (MT-SOFC) is a type of fuel cell that uses microtubular channels to facilitate the chemical reactions that take place within the cell. Microtubular design offers a number of advantages over traditional solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs), including improved power density, reduced material requirements, and increased durability.
To enhance these advantages even further, miniaturization of components is required. Our proprietary technology enables us to fabricate such microscopic tubes that are an order of magnitude smaller than currently available microtubes. MT-SOFCs based on these tubes exhibit even higher durability to thermal and mechanical stresses, reduced start-up time of the system to the order of seconds, and tenfold increase in power density of the system is feasible.
