Lead Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and validation of mechanical systems for our micro-tubular SOFC technology. You will take responsibility for ensuring that our designs are reliable, manufacturable, and scalable as we move from prototypes to commercial systems.

As a senior member of the team, you will act as design authority, mentor colleagues, and ensure that mechanical engineering contributes effectively to our overall technology roadmap.

Your tasks

  • Develop the mechanical architecture and design of stack components, fixtures, and test hardware
  • Guide analysis and validation activities, combining simulations and experimental testing
  • Define and improve processes for assembly, prototyping, and iterative testing
  • Oversee documentation of designs, specifications, and best practices
  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure mechanical, thermal, and system integration
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and interns

Your qualification 

  • Vocational School, BSc or MSc in Engineering, Materials Science or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software and simulation tools;
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T;
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills;
  • Experience with prototyping;
  • Proficient in spoken and written English;Ability to work independently and as part of the team.
