The aim of the Cross-Sectoral Mobility (SekMo) project is to promote the exchange of knowledge and innovation by encouraging employee mobility and collaboration between Estonia’s research and development institutions, universities, and organizations from the public, private, and third sectors.
As part of the project, work is being done on depositing porous anode layers onto micro-tubular electrolyte tubes and addressing the challenges of making electrical contacts. The deposition process combines wet-chemical methods with sintering. The project contributes to the development and commercialization of fuel cells that start up faster, have higher energy density, and are more shock-resistant than before.
Project title: “Yttria-Stabilized Zirconia Microtubes and Their Application in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells” (“Ütriaga stabiliseeritud tsirkoonia mikrotorud ja nende kasutamine tahkeoksiidsetes kütuseelementides”)
Project duration: 01.01.2025 – 31.12.2028
Total project cost: €196,834.40
The Cross-Sectoral Mobility support is provided by the State Shared Service Centre (Riigi Tugiteenuste Keskus).
